The 2008 IDFA Canadian Classic IV Amatuer & Pro Championships will be held at Jane Mallett Theatre in the St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts (StLC). Conveniently located just East of Yonge St. in the historic St. Lawrence neighbourhood of downtown Toronto, the StLC is just steps away from TTC, hotels and restaurants.

The StLC features two dynamic theatres, with elegant lobbies, ideal for theatrical, corporate, and special events. The StLC is more than just great performances. The two elegant theatres, their spacious lobbies and private lounges provide memorable settings for corporate presentations, gala functions and social events.

The Jane Mallett Theatre offers an intimate environment with superior sight lines and exceptional acoustics. Staffed by professional technicians and equipped with a lighting grid and unique fly system, the semi-circular thrust stage is ideal for concerts, theatrical productions as well as the most demanding high-tech audiovisual presentations. The Jane Mallett lobby is an ideal setting to ensure our patrons’ comfort.

There is ample indoor and outdoor public parking available directly south of the StLC. Today, points of interest in the oldest neighbourhood of the City, include the St. James Cathedral, the St. Lawrence Market, the Hockey Hall of Fame and the Hummingbird Centre, as well as beautiful parks, numerous shops and excellent restaurants.

If you are travelling by Public Transit, take the Yonge Street subway to King Station. Walk 2 blocks south on Yonge Street to Front Street and then walk east 1 block to the StLC. (see map above)

From Lester B. Pearson International Airport (YYZ), it is a mere 21 minute drive to Hotel Novotel, the host hotel.

Directions are as follows:

1. Merge onto PROVINCIAL ROUTE 427 S.
2. Merge onto GARDINER EXPY E via the exit on the LEFT.
3. Take the YORK ST. / BAY ST. exit toward YONGE ST.
4. Take the ramp toward HWY-11 / YONGE / QUEENS QUAY.
5. Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto HARBOUR ST / LAKE SHORE BLVD W.
6. Turn SLIGHT LEFT onto YONGE ST / PROVINCIAL ROUTE 11.
7. Turn RIGHT onto THE ESPLANADE.
8. End at 45 The Esplanade.
