Here We Grow Again!

IDFA Adds New Show in Ottawa, Ontario

Due to popular demand, the IDFA has added yet another event to its calendar. The IDFA Ottawa Classic (Natural Bodybuilding, Fitness Model and Figure Championships) will take place on October 30, 2010. It will be an IDFA Pro-qualifier. More details to follow. Stay tuned!

Here We Grow Again! The IDFA Adds Spring Show in Calgary...

The IDFA has added another show in Calgary, Alberta. Now in addition to the Western Canada Classic in the fall, we will host a spring event called the IDFA Calgary Classic on May 30, 2009. This show will also be an IDFA Pro-Qualifier. For more info, visit the IDFA Calgary Classic event page.

The IDFA is expanding across Canada!

We have added 3 more shows to the 2008 IDFA Event Schedule. Athletes from across Canada and the USA are welcome. The IDFA has in place strict drug testing guidelines to ensure a fair playing ground at all IDFA sanctioned events. IDFA competitions offer all levels of experience: novice, masters, open and pro. Competitors receive sculptured trophies and medals, free competitor t-shirts, sponsor goodie bags, full-colour event programmes and much more. As well as an immense online presence, IDFA athletes have been featured in fitness publications, television programs and all IDFA marketing material.

Novice Eligibility for IDFA NATURAL NOVICE CLASSIC on May 3, 2008

If competing in the IDFA NATURAL NOVICE CLASSIC on MAY 3, 2008 you will be eligible to compete in the Novice Division if:

1. Competitor has not placed top 3 in the Novice Division in an IDFA sanctioned event
2. Competitor has not placed in the top 3 in an Open Division in another organization prior to Dec. 31, 2007.

Bodybuilding Posing Routines

All PRO bodybuilding posing routines will be a maximum of 90 seconds in length.

IDFA Masters Pro Card

We will not be offering the IDFA Masters Pro Division at IDFA events and therefore no longer awarding an IDFA Masters Pro Card to the Overall Men’s Masters Winner.

IDFA Membership Card Validation Period

As of January 1, 2008, IDFA Memberships will be valid for up to one calendar year (January 1 to December 31).
